Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Sauce
You’ve probably tried teriyaki sauce before at your local Japanese restaurant or sushi spot. Perhaps you have a bottle in the back of your fridge and forgot about it! I bet you’ve never tried making this simple and delicious sauce at home 🏡 before but you definitely should!
Sauces don’t have to be complicated and to be frank with you, most of them are so simple to make and take next to no time to prepare. I have to admit that I looove sauces 🥰! Like the cherry 🍒 on top of the sundae, so many dishes require a final touch and more often than not, that means a sauce!
In a previous episode, I showed you the method I use to make 👩🍳👨🍳 awesome Baked Chicken Drumettes and Wings but you can’t have them without a sauce, right? Okay, I can hear some of you saying – “Yes, no need for sauce!” – but let’s be real, the majority of us love our favorite sauces!
What comes to mind when someone says Hawaii? Palm trees, leis, hula dancers, waves, plumeria and birds of paradise, perfect weather and, of course… pineapple 🍍. Now you know which ingredient I’m using to make my Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Sauce. I have to say that the taste of this sauce is absolutely amazing and perfect for many proteins…
Here’s a little tip 💡… When cooking this Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Sauce, you want to cook it down so it gets thick enough to stick to the wings. Depending on the dish you’ll be using it on, the cooking time will vary.
This is so delicious and quite easy to make. You can use this versatile sauce on almost anything; chicken breasts, burgers 🍔 like my Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers, ribs, pork chops, etc. I also use it when making my Teriyaki Beef Noodles… so tasty! Instead of buying a bottle of teriyaki sauce at the store, just make your own. You’ll see just how flavorful it is and you’ll be enjoying it in no time!

I enjoy Teriyaki very much and shall give it a try soon. Thank you.
Hi Arn…please let me know how it turns out. Keep an eye on the sauce when it starts reducing to the thickness you want, it can thicken up pretty fast towards the end.
