When it comes to sauces, I have a vast repertoire of them. I have one for everything. A sauce can elevate a protein to a new level of yumminess. Sauces enhance dishes and for any home cook, it’s important to have a lot to choose from. Besides the famous 5 French Mother Sauces that I’ve been posting one by one over the last 6 years, there are other ones that are just fabulous like Sweet Chili, Romesco, Indonesian Peanut, Seafood Cocktail, Gyoza, Mushrooms, and many more. Now let’s add this featured one to the list… my Spicy Strawberry Orange Sauce!

This recipe is incredible! It goes so well with many proteins like chicken, pork, lamb and even fish and seafood! These berries are mostly found in desserts or sweet treats although I do use them for my Strawberry Butter and Strawberry Salad. It’s very easy to make and a great way to enjoy them.

I created this recipe because I had too many strawberries in the fridge and although I used my Berries • How to Keep Them Longer trick, I knew I had to roll up my sleeves and come up with something. That night, we were having wings and I thought it would be amazing to make a “new” sauce for them. Tada! Let’s make a Spicy Strawberry Orange Sauce!

Like most sauces, this one is pretty straight forward. With only 8 ingredients, this scrumptious recipe takes just 35 minutes to make. One of the ingredients is my Strawberry Jam which has great flavor – you know that homemade is better than store bought plus there are no preservatives and artificial sweeteners.

Berry season is here and besides making a nice milkshake with them, an ice cream or dipping them in chocolate, you should definitely give this Spicy Strawberry Orange Sauce a try this summer. It’s so delicious and an original creation to add to your folder. After you taste it, this will become your go-to summer sauce recipe…
