Ultimate Cheeseburgers
Summer is my favorite season! The weather is nice and warm, I wear light clothing along with open-toed sandals 👡 or flip-flops, I’m physically more active, my husband and I take a lot of road trips – we’re always out and about -, plus fresh produce is widely available…
Another reason why I love 💖 summer is cooking on the BBQ! As a mature woman, I don’t want to warm up the kitchen. Also, it seems that everything tastes better when grilled on the” barbie”! Well, honestly, David does most of the barbecues… it gives me a little break BUT nonetheless, I still love BBQ foods!
As much as we basically grill anything on it, one of our favorite “summer barbecue foods” is burgers! Hey, I’m not dismissing kebabs, elotes 🌽 (grilled Mexican street corn), rotisseries, and so on, but this is our easy finger food we have often.
There’s probably over a dozen recipes on the website. I think of Mushroom Swiss Burgers, Bison Burgers with Bourbon Onion Jam, Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers, California Burgers 🐓 – I love that one so much! -, etc. Another one that is incredible is my Ultimate Cheeseburgers!
I called it “Ultimate” because it’s the BEST 🏆🥇 out there! Without being presumptuous, these guys are simply fabulous! With great ingredients and condiments, this burger recipe is tremendously tasty! This beats any commercial take-outs!
After the meat is well-seasoned with salt 🧂 and pepper, it’s up to you to add some steak spice like my Montréal Steak Spice blend. We did with and without and the results are both delicious! Four patties are formed, chilled for 2 to 8 hours and then ready to be grilled… easy peasy. Here’s a quick story…
As foodies, David and I like watching many TV shows on Flavour (previously Food Network). On one previous season of MasterChef, there was a woman who actually seasoned the patties after they were grilled… are you kidding me? We couldn’t believe our eyes 👀, lol!
Back to the Ultimate Cheeseburgers…
After the meat is evenly formed into 4 patties, I like making an indentation in the middle of each of them. These burgers will be loaded with deliciousness 🥰 and by doing that, it will prevent the patties from bulging up in the center, keeping them flatter.
To grill the patties, it takes anywhere from 6 to 7 minutes ⏰ per side for medium-rare or 8 to 9 for medium. About 3 to 2 minutes before they’re done, two slices of processed cheese are placed on top of each of them while the hamburger buns are toasted.
When they’re grilled to the desired doneness, it’s time to assemble them and this is where these burgers get elevated in the flavor department. My Classic Burger Sauce is spooned 🥄 on the bottom and top of each toasted bun… it’s a must otherwise, you’ll be missing out on their amazing flavor.
From the bottom up, lettuce (I use Boston but iceberg is another option), tomato slice 🍅, and a patty are stacked on top of each other. If you want a double cheeseburger, another patty is added to the other one.
Either single or double, the rest of the ingredients are Bread & Butter Pickles – another ingredient you cannot skip -, and red onion rings 🧅. If you find raw onions too strong, click on this link to find a handy tip… How to Remove Bitterness from Onions
Et voilà, your burgers 🍔 are ready!
Loaded with yumminess, these Ultimate Cheeseburgers are the most stunning you’ll be making this summer! These guys are easy to make 👩🍳👨🍳 and don’t be shocked… everyone will love them, it’s guaranteed!
