Over the years, I’ve been mixing a lot of spice blends. It all started because I found that Montréal Steak Spice sold at the store was way too salty 🧂! To remedy that situation, I looked at the label and tried to duplicate it while reducing the sodium amount… it worked!

I started doing this with other blends, such as Old El Paso Taco Seasoning and Pumpkin Pie Spice. Eventually, I created 👩‍🍳 several of my own, like this featured one… Chicken Spice Mix!

Like all the others, this recipe is quick ⏳ and easy to make! With a gorgeous combination of different spices such as smoked paprika, onion powder, rosemary, and more, this will certainly enhance your poultry.

It’s a great spice recipe to have on hand. Besides its amazing flavor, this is a nice way to recycle your spices. Like anything else, they don’t last forever. Over time, they lose their potency, so this is a smart way to use them up by creating other blends.

I use this Chicken Spice Mix when I do rotisserie on the barbecue, for my oven baked chicken method, or when making my Beer Can Chicken. It can also be used for any other poultry, such as duck 🦆, turkey, goose, quail, pheasant, and so on.

This Chicken Spice Mix is an excellent one to make. After mixing 🥄 the ingredients very well, it can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry area. It will keep for up to 3 to 4 months.
Bon Appétit! 🍽

Here are the ingredient amounts for Chickes Spice Mix…
