h my! Where should I begin?
Years ago, I had an event planning company located in Toronto. I was doing most of my gigs in the states but sometimes in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Most of my events required catering and it was my duty to find what best suited my client’s wish lists. Now not in any way shape or form did I ever think that one day I would be the one doing the “catering” for someone. Did I think about it? Yeah, sure! But I had never ever done it or planned to do it…
A few weeks ago my dear friend Louise Sparrow, owner of Pamper Me Day Spa located in White Rock, 
British Columbia asked me if I would cater for her Spa’s 35th Anniversary. I was honored by her request… c’mon I enjoy cooking as you should know by now and after all, she’s my friend!
Soooo… with the little knowledge in the “catering world” I experienced from the past, I put a few ite
ms together – 6 to be more specific –and served them to her distinguished clients on her special day. With the help of Lynn (our server), someone Louise knows, and my partner David who was helping me put everything together, this event turned out to be smooth sailing and everything went well.
What I chose for her on the 35th Anniversary of Pamper Me Day Spa was Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Stuffed Dates with Gorgonzola, Chilled Avocado Soup, Italian-Style Bruschetta, Spicy Tropical Salsa and Cranberry Cream Cheese Crisp. With champagne flowing and good times had by all, the event was a success! Good people, good food, great ambiance and more so, two friends who joined together to make it happen!
