As much as we eat chicken a lot, pork is another meat that David and I like. It’s economical plus, after trimming it, it’s also a lean meat. Did you know that pork is the most consumed meat in the world 🌏 followed closely by chicken then beef?

On the website, there’s a wide selection of delicious pork 🐖 recipes such as Kansas City Style Pork Ribs, Croquetas de Jamón • Ham Croquettes, Pizza Rustica, Pierogi Casserole, Texas Cowboy Stew, Asian Pork Tenderloin, Pork Chops with Spicy Peach Sauce, and so on…

Another one I like making 👩‍🍳 because of its simplicity is my Honey Mustard Pork Loin Chops! Marinated in a sweet and savory tasty sauce, these juicy and tender chops are unbelievably delicious! It’s another way to enjoy this protein.

The marinade has a beautiful combination of ingredients. Besides honey 🍯, I use two kinds of mustard; one is Dijon and the other is my homemade Sweet & Spicy German Mustard but stone-ground mustard is a great alternative.

There’s also orange juice 🍊, garlic, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and other ingredients including Herbes de Provence that can be made from scratch by clicking on this link… Herbes de Provence • Make your own

These Honey Mustard Pork Loin Chops are uncomplicated. After the chops are marinated for 30 minutes ⏰, they’re grilled on the barbecue between 450ºF to 500ºF or on the stove top on high heat. Meanwhile, the marinade is transferred to a small saucepan and simmered gently until ready to serve.

This recipe is unpretentious and yet so yummy! It can be enjoyed on both weeknights or weekends. I normally served these with roasted garlic mashed potatoes 🥔 and steamed vegetables like broccolini, green beans or bok choy.

Extra flavorful, these Honey Mustard Pork Loin Chops are an amazing recipe to add to your folder. Grilled either outside or inside, this is an affordable meal 💰 that you and your family will enjoy anytime of the year…

Ingredients

  • 4 large pork loin chops, patted dry
  • 1/3 cup honey tips & tricks
  • 2 tbsp. Sweet & Spicy German Mustard (substitute stone-ground mustard) see Recipe
  • 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice tips & tricks
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil tips & tricks
  • 3 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 tbsp. Herbes de Provence see Recipe
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ground Himalayan pink salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, add honey, both mustards, orange juice, oil, garlic, Herbes de Provence, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place the pork loin chops into a large re-sealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over. Close the bag and gently toss it around to coat the meat. Let the chops marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Bring the barbecue between 450ºF to 500ºF.
  • Remove the pork chops from the bag to a plate and pour the marinade in a small saucepan. Whisk it and turn the heat on medium; simmer gently while grilling the meat.
  • Place chops on the grill and cook 4 to 5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 145ºF.
  • Remove from the heat and tent a piece of foil over. Let them rest for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, pour hot marinade over.
