Classic Burger Sauce

I never liked burger joints but I do love burgers… I like homemade burgers! They’re freshly made and not under seasoned. These are probably one of our favorite finger foods besides chicken wings 🐓. It doesn’t matter which season it is, David and I enjoy our burgers all year round…
We’ve created many recipes throughout the years. With over a dozen of them, we have a delicious rotation of burgers 🍔. Although they’re all incredibly tasty, we do, occasionally, top them with this delicious condiment… my Classic Burger Sauce!
This super quick ⏳ and easy recipe is simply fabulous! With a mix of different condiments along with seasonings, this is a sauce that it sure to enhance your burgers. It’s pretty similar to the one they spread on the Big Mac except it has more zip to it!
I’m sure you’ll have all the ingredients to make 👩🍳👨🍳 this Classic Burger Sauce recipe. It needs mayonnaise, regular ketchup, sweet relish, and prepared yellow mustard in addition to smoked paprika, onion and garlic powder plus freshly ground black pepper.
As a foody, you know I like making most of my condiments. Mayonnaise as well as Sweet Relish are both homemade recipes. Do I make them from scratch all the time? No, of course not. Like anyone else, I use the store bought 🛒 unless I have some already made…
One of our friends 👩🦰 told me that this was a tastier version of Heinz Secret Burger Sauce which I’ve never heard of. The bonus with this sauce is the freshness and also, it’s elevated with spices… not a lot but enough to bring it a notch higher in the flavor department.
An ingredient that I don’t use while most recipes do is vinegar. The logic here is this; there’s vinegar in ketchup, sweet relish and prepared yellow mustard. By adding more vinegar, it unbalances the flavor and makes it super tangy 🤢. Go ahead if you want to add some but the results won’t be the same.
With BBQ season in play, this delicious Classic Burger Sauce is a great condiment to have on hand. Besides being used as a topping for burgers, it can be a delightful spread for sandwiches 🥪 as well as a dip for other fried foods such as Onion Rings, French Fries, Chicken Nuggets, etc.…
