Green Smoothie
Years ago, my aunt decided to do some research on our ancestors. Apparently, she found out that in our family tree, not only are we from different parts of France but there’s also a little Irish in us. Now how much do we have in our bloodline is not really well established but that’s the rumor…
Every year, I like to showcase a “green” recipe to highlight St Patrick’s Day like my Grasshopper Chocolate Martini, Green Beans with Chili-Orange Oil, Chocolate Mint Nanaimo Bars, Mint Jelly, Gnudi aka Malfatti, and so on. Here’s another one for 2020… my Green Smoothie!
I love my smoothies because they are a delicious and healthy beverage to start your day. After fasting overnight, we need to replenish our body with good nutrients and smoothies are a great way to accomplish this plus they are so yummy!
Besides my Red Velvet Boost, Tropical Sunshine Smoothie, Berry Fusion Smoothie, Pomegranate Avocado Detox Smoothie, Polynesian Smoothie and many more, this Green Smoothie recipe is another great morning beverage to add to your folder. It’s refreshing and quite flavorful!
It’s a simple, easy recipe that is quick to make therefore there are no excuses for not making it. After peeling and scooping out the kiwis, the rest is a breeze. Almost a year ago I posted a great kitchen trick on Kiwifruits – How to Peel Quickly so check it out!
As some of you will be partying hard tonight, drinking this Green Smoothie for breakfast or anytime during the day will give you some good vitamins and energize your body to celebrate St Patty’s Day. Have fun!
Bon Appétit!
