Vegetables 🍆🥒 are good for us and we should all have the recommended daily intake which is roughly 2 1/2 cups a day. There’s a type of veggie that I really enjoy and they are green beans. When I include them as a side dish for my meals, I usually like to have mine steamed and every now and then I might add some butter 🧈, salt 🧂 or pepper as well. Once in a while though, I like to stir things up by adding different flavored ingredients, toasted nuts or spices.

In today’s recipe, I’ll share my Green Beans with Chili-Orange Oil 🍊 with you! This is such an easy recipe with amazing flavors! Beans are beans and what makes a huge impact on this recipe is the infused oil… It’s one of those things that after you start cooking with these oils, they become a necessary ingredient in your kitchen just like my Chili Oil – here’s why…

By using an oil infusion, you blend the flavors of the ingredients to enhance foods taste. Oil infusions are fun to experiment with by adding different herbs such as rosemary, basil, oregano, and so on as well as adding other ingredients like garlic 🧄, jalapeño peppers, onions and spices. The chili-orange oil in this recipe really brings a unique twist and some heat to these beans without over shadowing the flavor.

This Green Beans with Chili-Orange Oil dish is quick to make 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳. The infused oil is what takes time but after 2 1/2 to 3 hours, you’re ready to make the side.

Although an interesting combination, these ingredients marry well together and perfectly complement this Green Beans with Chili-Orange Oil recipe. The next time you’re thinking of having green beans, spice things up and give these a try!

  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes, or to taste
