Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 rolls) King's Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls, sliced in half
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise see Recipe
  • 2 tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
  • 8 large deli turkey slices
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced into 12 pieces
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, or to taste
  • ground Himalayan pink salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1 1/2 cups Gouda cheese, grated
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled tips & tricks
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder

Directions

  • Grease the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray and place a piece of parchment paper, with overhang; set aside.
  • Using a serrated knife, slice the buns lengthwise, gently holding them down when slicing. Place the bottom rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  • Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  • In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise and prepared yellow mustard. Spread the mixture on the bottom rolls, covering the entire surface.
  • Place turkey slices then tomato slices on top; season with oregano, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese followed with crumbled cooked bacon. Place top rolls, pressing down gently.
  • In a small skillet, blend together lukewarm melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic and onion powder. Brush the butter mixture on top of the buns.
  • Cover with a piece of foil and transfer to the preheated oven; bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the top is golden.
  • Remove from the heat, lift and transfer the sliders onto a cutting board; let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
