Ingredients

  • 1 lemon wedge
  • granulated sugar, for the rim as needed
  • 1 ounce Cognac or brandy, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 ounces Tia Maria, or to taste (substitute Kahlúa) see Recipe
  • 6 ounces hot coffee
  • whipped cream, as needed tips & tricks
  • 1 whole maraschino cherry
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon (substitute ground nutmeg or baharat)

Directions

  • Cut a small slit in a lemon wedge and slide it around the rim of the glass. Dip the rim in granulated sugar and turn it back and forth to coat it well.
  • Add Cognac, Tia Maria and pour in hot coffee. Top generously with whipped cream, sprinkle on some cinnamon and garnish with a cherry.
  • Carefully wrap a serviette around the glass and enjoy!
