Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Tasty and easy, these Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes are the perfect side for many proteins. A delicious change from regular mashed.

Ingredients

tbsp.
coarse sea salt, or more to taste

lbs.
unpeeled red potatoes, washed and scrubbed

head of garlic, roasted and mashed

freshly ground black pepper, to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)

cup
light sour cream, or to taste

milk
1/4 to 1/2

garlic salt, or to taste

Directions
In a large pot, add some coarse sea salt then
potatoes
. Pour in cold water to about 2 inches above.
Cover and bring to a boil. When it gets there, remove the lid and continue cooking until the potatoes are tender, about 17 to 20 minutes.
Drain
potatoes
well and mash them. Add both
butters
and mash again.
Add
roasted garlic
and freshly ground black pepper; mash once again.
Add sour cream and milk; stir to blend; taste and adjust if necessary. Add garlic salt if wanted and stir well before serving.

Depending on the size, you might want to cut them in half.
