- 2 medium cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 3 star anises
- 4 cups (1 liter) apple cider
- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
- 1/2 cup orange juice tips & tricks
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large orange, sliced
In a cheese cloth, place cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise; tie it with kitchen twine.
Place the sachet in the crock and pour in apple cider, red wine and orange juice. Add brown sugar and orange slices.
Set the heat on “Low” for 4 hours or “High” for 2 hours.
