Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Sauce

This sauce is so versatile and can be used with the protein of your choice. After making this homemade Teriyaki sauce, you won't buy the ones from the store anymore... it's that good!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce or tamari soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar, such as demerara
  • 1 tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. honey tips & tricks
  • 1 large clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice

Directions

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients together. Stir well and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 25 minutes. As it cools off, the sauce will thicken more.
