Pomegranate Molasses

This outstanding condiment is so versatile. It can be used to enhance dishes and is also a great substitute for balsamic vinegar. This is definitely a must have for any kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pomegranate juice, bottled or fresh
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice tips & tricks

Directions

  • In a large pot over medium-high heat, add pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the juice simmers.
  • Reduce the heat to maintain a simmer, about medium to medium-low heat, and cook for an hour or until the juice has a syrupy consistency and has reduced down to 1 cup.
  • Pour into an airtight container and let it cool down.
