BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 large rack (aka slab) baby back pork ribs Footnote
  • 1 tbsp. dry steak seasoning, or as needed
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce, or as needed, divided

Directions

  • Spray 4 pieces of aluminum foil with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Remove the membrane from the ribs and then portion 4 to 5 ribs before placing each portion on the prepared aluminum foil.
  • Sprinkle dry steak seasoning on both sides and rub it in.
  • Brush the ribs liberally with BBQ sauce on both sides making sure to place the meat side down.
  • Preheat oven to 300ºF
  • Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  • Place wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and transfer to the preheated oven; cook for 2 1/2 hours.
  • Remove from the heat and turn the broiler on. Remove the ribs from the aluminum foil; discard used foil and liquid. Place them, meat side up, on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Brush on more BBQ sauce to coat the entire surface. Move the rack up to the 2nd from the top position. Transfer ribs to the oven and broil for 4 to 6 minutes.

Notes

Footnote: One rack (aka slab) is up to 13 ribs so it 's hard to determine the proper serving amount but it's usually 4 to 5 ribs per serving therefore the serving amounts may vary.
