Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp. Shaoxing cooking wine
  • 2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp. sambal oelek
  • 1 tsp. Chinese Five-spice powder
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 1 large clove garlic, pressed

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add all the ingredients and whisk to blend.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook until it reduces by half or until it turns into a thick consistency, about 25 minutes, whisking often.
  • Pour over cooked wings, toss and enjoy!
